Funeral services for Norman will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Ezekiel Lutheran Church, River Falls. Visitation wil be held from 4-8 p.m. on Friday March 5th at the Cashman-Hill Funeral Home and for one hour prior to the service on Saturday at church.

Age 92, of River Falls , died March 2, 2010. Norman was born September 1, 1917 in Pleasant Valley, the son of Nels and Mae (Adkins) Johnson. He lived his entire life in the River Falls Area. Working at the River Falls Creamery for 15 years, farming for 28 years and also employed in the River Falls School system for 18 years. He served in the Army from July 8, 1941 to October 26, 1945 during WWII. He served in Ireland, England, and Normandy invasion in France. He married Gertrude “Jean” Miller on November 23, 1942. Norman was a member of the Ezekiel Lutheran Church, River Falls and the Fletcher-Pechacek American Legion Post.
Norman is survived by three children: David (Patricia) Johnson; Nadine Johnson; Kari (Randy) Larson; two grandchildren: Amy (Arthur) Puccini and Ashley Larson; and five great grandchildren: Gabriel, Nora, Will, Trey and Courtney. And one sister Marcella Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Jill, his wife Jean, grandsons, Bryan Johnson, and Ken Martinez, three brothers and one sister.
