Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 13, 2010, at First Congregational United Church of Christ, 110 N. Third St., River Falls, with Reverend Chris Myers officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Cashman-Hill Funeral Home and again one hour prior to the service at church on Saturday.

Esther Alice Ducklow
October 10, 1915 ~ March 9, 2010
Age 94, of River Falls, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at Kinnic Long Term Care of River Falls. She was born on October 21, 1915, in Minneapolis, MN to Arthur and Mary (Sabin) Northfield. She graduated from Edison High School in Minneapolis, MN in 1933 and from University of Wisconsin-River Falls in 1961. On April 6, 1935 she married Willis Ducklow, son of Frank and Francis (Prine) Ducklow.
She was a dedicated teacher who started her career teaching all eight grades in a one room school house. She was very passionate about doing genealogical research and also loved to read, do crafts and play with her great grandchildren.
Esther is survived by her children: Dale Ducklow of Holt, MI, Clair (Sharon) Ducklow of Birmingham, MI, and Alice (Gerald) Hildebrandt of River Falls, WI; seven grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and four siblings. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis; her parents; and four siblings.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.
Cashman-Hill Funeral Home & Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements.
