Making certain the services you select for yourself are the services that will meet your family’s needs and desires. After all the services are for them and are of you!

Increasing Numbers of People Are Pre-planning
To help relieve their families of difficult and emotional decisions, an increasing number of people are pre-planning their own funerals, designating their funeral preferences, and sometimes even paying for them in advance. This could be viewed as an extension of one's will or estate planning. If you would like to learn more about pre-planning services for yourself or a loved one, a meeting with our staff can be arranged. Whether we meet in your home or at one of our facilities, it is our goal that you be as comfortable as possible in making these important decisions.Additionally, we recommend that as many family members be present as possible.

Pre-Payment
Services cannot only be pre-planned but they may also be pre-paid, either in an irrevocable funeral trust or paid up whole life life insurance policy, ensuring that services are paid for at current costs and in today’s dollars, and guaranteed for tomorrow's price increases. In addition, by pre-paying these costs, these funds may also be considered a protected asset.

Pre-planning Tips

Put your preferences in writing and give copies to your family members and attorney.
Don't designate your preferences in your will, as wills are usually not found and read until after the funeral.
Avoid putting your preferences in a safe deposit box, as your family may need to make arrangements during a holiday or on a weekend.
It's a good idea to review and revise your preferences every few years.
